Worship Services

The Salvation Army of the Virginia Peninsula offers worship services and a caring ministry in order to respond to the spiritual and practical needs of our community.  Our church is at the center of our ministry.

In the Salvation Army, officers serve as the primary clergy for their congregations.  Our Sunday morning worship combines music, Scripture, prayer and uplifting sermons to honor God and reflect on His love and His plans for us.

We also offer programs and activities during the week for members to fellowship and grow in spirituality. Bible study plays an important role in helping each us understand God’s will for our lives. Traditional ministries for men and women offer opportunities for worship, fellowship, education and service.  Music programs enrich our lives and youth programs help young people build character and strength.  Outreach ministries offer opportunities to provide service and prayer to those less fortunate.  Regular visits to local nursing homes allows members to provide comfort to those in need.

The Salvation Army is considered a protestant denomination of the Christian Church with beliefs that are in line with the mainstream of Christian belief.  Salvation Army Officers are ordained ministers that can perform marriages and dedicate children and who regularly provide ministerial duties for their congregations.

Our worship services are welcoming and loving, and we invite you to visit us anytime.
